Do you like to stop and read the metal historic markers along the road in Kentucky? Since 1949, the KY Historical Highway Marker program has erected more than 1,800 markers that highlight the state’s local, regional and statewide importance….as diverse as a seven year boy serving as a Revolutionary War drummer to a centuries old sassafras tree. This is a key to the markers whether you stop or not. What fun!  Roadtrip anyone?
